At the end of every term there is an informal presentation of students work, for family and friends. At least once a year all students are involved in a production performed at a professional theatre:
Most recent shows:
March 2010: "A 19th Century Revue" at the Normansfield Theatre, Teddington.
A selection of scenes from 19th Century literature, which gave the cast of 5 to 17 year old the opportunity to perform characters from "Oliver Twist", "The Secret Garden", "Little Women", and Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest". An exciting and memorable learning experience for all the children, and a fun evening for parents and friends!
Past Productions:
The actfirst pantomimes - two "Dick Whittington"s and one "Cinderella" were performed in December 2009, on stage, in front of a lively audience of friends and family. The kids were absolutely tremendous and clearly loved the performances and the audience participation. Two great ,festive evenings, and a memorable learning experience for them all. Very well done!
All actfirst students performed in "Spring Shorts" - a revue of plays and sketches - at Hampton Hill Playhouse, in April 2009, and in "Summer Shorts!" - a triple bill of comedies - at Hampton Hill Playhouse, in July 08. The casts all worked hard and the evenings were a great success, and well received by enthusiastic audiences. All students can be justly proud of their achievement!
actfirst students performed their first full length panto "Captain Hook's Revenge", at the Normansfield Theatre, Teddington in December 2007. The show was a huge success and the audience laughed in all the right places! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day, both on and off stage. There was a fabulous review in the 'Richmond and Twickenham Times.
