Tuition for LAMDA examinations

This is to make you aware that I offer private coaching for LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) ‘Acting’, and 'Verse and Prose’ Examinations, and to tell you a little about these excellent examinations.

My students over the last 12 years have received excellent results: with a 100% pass rate, and the majority achieving Distinction or Merit (including those taking the higher Grades). Parents of candidates have commented on how positive the experience was for their child, and how their self-esteem has benefitted emormously.

LAMDA is the largest Speech and Drama awarding body in the UK, and their Graded Examinations are accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. There are exams for all age groups/levels. Level 3 examinations can also help students enter UK universities, as they are recognised in the University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) points system to support university applications.
I personally think these exams are great. The guidelines are clear whilst also allowing lots of creativity. It’s an opportunity to receive a recognised record of achievement and is not as daunting as it first appears! Feedback from candidates and parents is very positive – including how friendly and welcoming the staff are before, and after, the exam (which would be at one of LAMDA’s venues in the Earl’s Court area of London).

Obviously exams are optional, and would in no way interfere with classwork/rehearsals. Candidates would need to have approximately 5-6 tutorials (depending on grade). They can enter singly, or, in the case of ‘Acting Duologues’ (8 years plus only), in pairs.
